Sheikh Shakboot jumps to top place

Sheikh Shakboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, from the Emirates Heritage Club, rode brilliantly and faultlessly on his horse Linotte De Groom to win the Class 7: B1 A2 (One Round with Jump-off) show jumping competitions held at Sharjah Equestrian Club show jumping arena over the weekend. The Category was in two sections and Sheikh Shakboot won in Section (A2). There were as many as 38 jumpers in the fray for these competitions and only eight of them were places and 14 riders withdrew.

The competitions were organized by UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation in cooperation with the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.

Second place went to Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah Al Qassimi from the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, who rode Okkie (31.35 seconds) but landed up with four faults. Third place went to Abdullah Humaid AL Muhairi also from Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club. He was riding Tip Top and recorded just a single fault in 76.34 seconds.

In the same Class 7, Section (B1), Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi from the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club won the first and the third spots respectively riding Soito (34.03 seconds) and Natali 079 (68.20 seconds). Ali Abdullah Al Kumaiti from Ajman Equestrian Club managed the second place riding Salasbeel II. Though he took just four seconds more than Al Suwaidi, he had eight faults in his kitty.

CLASS 2: C2 (One Round Against The Clock): Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, (Koki), Royal Stables, 46.92 seconds: 2. Bjorn Bederman, (Cinderella 482), Al Fursan, 49.03 seconds: 3 Anoud Abdalla Sultan, (Chou Chou), Ajman Equestrian Club, 58.21 seconds. (47 jumpers in fray, 10 placed, four withdrew).
CLASS 3: B2 (Two Phases): 1. Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi, (Solito), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 21.02 seconds: and 3. Abdul Rahman S. Al Kaabi, (Jeudi De La Chene and Feline S), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 21.95 seconds and 33.50 seconds. (32 in fray, six placed and eight withdrew.
CLASS 4: A2 (Two Phases): 1 and 2. Arif Ahmed Jaseem, (Arielle and U-Ottie), Emirates Equestrian Centre, 22.28 seconds and 23.03 seconds respectively, 3. Mohammed Rashid Al Suwaidi, (Matahab), Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, 27.23 seconds. (19 in fray, and three placed, six withdrew).
CLASS 6: C2 (One Round with Jump-Off): 1. Bjorn Bederman (Cindrella), Al Fursan Stables, 29.49 seconds, 2. Bader Nasser Al Zaabi, (UW Bakker), Royal Stables, 31.06 seconds, 3. Saqer Sultan Al Yahyahei (Genial IV), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 31.20 seconds (56 in fray, nine placed, 15 withdrew).
CLASS 5: D: (Special 2 Phases Not Against the Clock): Ayesha Ali Al Shamsi (Bentley), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club,, 27.70 seconds, Cindy Faber, (Cessna), Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, 24.63 seconds, Fatema Al Sabah, (Little Wellies), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 23.70 seconds, Ahmed Saif Al Noman, (Great Boy 1), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 24.07 seconds, Amer Rafik (Kako de la Loover), LFS, 24.72 seconds (22 jumpers in fray, five placed).
CLASS 1 D: (Clear Round Jumping with Style): Alyssa Rittes (Bayles on the Rox), Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, 72.34 seconds, 8.9 style points, Ayesha Ali Al Shamsi, (Bentley) Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 70.26 seconds, 8.7 style points, Cindy Faber, Cessna, Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, 63.22 seconds, 8.5 style points, Sheikha Haifa Hamad Al Qassimi, (Ena), Plantation, 66.20 seconds, 8.1 style points, Fatema Al Sabah, (Little Wellies), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 65.29 seconds, 8 style points, Eisa Mohammed Al Ali, (Molly 2), Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, 76.87 seconds, 7.5 style points ( 27 riders in fray, six placed and four withdrew).

The nest Show Jumping competitions will be held at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club premises on November 6 and 7, 2008.
