The move comes under the directives of His Highness the
President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the support
of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai and Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi
Executive Committee and the follow up and supervision of
Shaikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE
Equestrian & Racing Federation to promote the Arabian horse
which marks of the heritage of fathers and grandfathers.
In line with this objective, the Russian capital Moscow will
host the third leg of the His Highness the President
Trophy-Hydra Cup for Purebred Arabians (Gr-1) with the cream
of the Arabian horses based in Europe in the fray.
The six-race card has attracted top contenders and highlighted
by the feature race of the afternoon, the PA Derby Hydra for
the President Trophy and Russia Cup sponsored by Hydra.
Sultan Al Marzouqi, secretary-general of the UAE Equestrian &
Racing Federation praised the unlimited support provided by
the wise leadership of the country to the Arabian horse.
"We would like to present our gratitude for His Highness the
President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, God preserves
him, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Lt.
General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Shaikh Sultan
bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for all what they have done
for the sport at the local and international levels.
"The record line up for the President Trophy and Russia Cup
sponsored by Hydra Properties is the best evidence that we are
in the right track. The keenness of the Purebred Arabian
horses owners and breeders to take part in the event
underlines we have achieved our target in promoting and
propagating the importance of this noble creature," he said.
