In the Golden Amateur
competition, Omer Thabit onboard Mexico clocked 76:04 over
fences set at 1.40metres and advanced to the second stage.
In the senior competition, Hamad Al Karbi clocked 65:52
seconds over 1.35metre fences and finished ninth out of 18
starters.
Brilliant Dutch rider Grave Willem claimed the Abu Dhabi Hydra
International Grand Tour and qualified for the Grand Prix.
Hydra Properties' Dr Suliman Al Fahim praised the UAE team's
performance.

The competition is being held under the patronage of Hydra
Properties togethter with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, UAE
Equestrian Federation, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, Abu Dhabi
Tourism Authority, Abu Dhabi Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition
and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
The three-star competition has attracted a total of 50 riders
from Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Holland,
Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and France. |
